Pinned Up
The philosophy behind this shoot was about the Pin-Up Girl model Style. He wanted to have the model in the series be apparent to the sexual exploitation which can been seen by the lack of emotion or anger/sadness on the models face. Also can the pinup girl really be existent without personality? (HISTORY LESSON: it began to objectify in the 19th century, it was widely mass-produced, taking sexual images of woman multiplied in pop culture. It was protested due to the idea that it was corrupting societal morality and taking woman into a light of sexual display and lowering the standards of womanhood, ruining dignity, reducing the female into a objectified state just for the pleasure of men to indulge in. (explicit images of woman created to stir patriotism and inspire troops to fight... in the 1940s posters of the pin-up girl was used as psychological perfected propaganda presenting an all-American view of a sweetheart waiting for troops to come home.
